Anxious for Halloween

The kids are very anxious for Halloween.

And why shouldn't they be? Ella's idea of a "treat" is a yogurt-covered granola bar. But she knows that trick-or-treaters get far better than granola bars.

As for Mattias, he can't remember last year (as a 1-year old). Regardless, his excitement builds from Ella's exaggerated tales of her past Halloweens....in Prague?

Yeah, neither of them have any real Halloween experience. So, we felt some practice is in order.

The night before last we went through the whole process, what to do, say and don't forget your Please's & Thank-you's.

Then we did the dress rehearsal. Queue up the two videos...

In case you missed it, their costumes are an Indian Princess (thank you Sarita and Caesar for bringing this all the way from India!) and a goldfish. In fact, in the first video, I ask Mattias what he is, and his reply is "Goldfish costume." How cute is that?

Fantastic practice...going from house to house. When they get back with all the yummy unhealthy stuff...What to do~?? They will charm the Snicker Socks off anyone!

Oh fun! Dan and I both said, "Oh we miss them!" Ella and Mattias are so cute in their costumes, and now they can actually go trick or treating!

Damn, that is like the twelfth time I have watched those videos. They keep getting cuter, if that is possible. Kudos for the princess costume but that goldfish costume is classic! I have to go watch a bunch more times.
